Summer Vacation to Destin -- 2007

         Thank you so much for the many prayers, hugs, cards and emails!  We enjoy getting to see our Royal Readers while we are out and about shopping, eating out and even at Santa’s Village!  We always look forward to getting those sweet hugs from each little Prince and Princess.  We love visiting with you and have even had some who have driven at least an hour one way to come see us at a book signing!  WOW—thanks!!!  We have even been surprised to run into a few of you while on vacation at Disney World!  It’s pretty cool to just be walking along, minding your own business and suddenly hear your name being called out by somebody!  It has gotten to the point where we run into at least one of our Royal Readers just about everywhere we go!  It still amazes us that God has brought all of us together through a few little books.  We thank God every day for giving us this opportunity to serve such wonderful people like you! 

Many of you have asked, “What’s next?!”  Well, I am working on a chapter book—a collection of funny little stories.  We also hope to release our books in hard cover soon!  Ashlyn and Makenna Joy have been working on several little stories that they would like to make available for you soon too.  Mike has stayed busy getting books ready for our new author friends this past year and he is still working on a few which will be released soon.  We try to list everyone that we’ve helped out on our website.  Make sure to check in often so that you can see who’s new. 

Prissy Pup is now 17 years old.  She is moving around slowly in the cold weather but can still prance around and loves to go for walks with us.  She is still just as cute as she was the day Mike brought her home to me many years ago.  I’ll never forget how she poked her little head up over the edge of the box to smile at me.  She is deaf and nearly blind now so we call her our “sweet little old lady.”  Callie Cat is now 2 years old and looks like a full grown cat.  Luckily she has not knocked the Christmas tree over or chewed through 3 strands of lights like she did last year!!!  Maybe she’s growing up a little?!  She is the prettiest calico that we’ve ever seen and has the funniest personality.  We’ve often said that we need to do a book about her so that all of you can enjoy her too.  We’ll see if we can work on that some time during this next year.
